Beenleigh Lions played host to Pine Rivers in round 10 of the Veto Premier League at Chris Green Park on Saturday evening. The Lions had been in good form of late with 3 wins from their last 4 matches and having moved in to the top 6. Pine Rivers had also been playing well of late and coach Allan Waller would have been expecting a good performance from his players after they were unlucky to be beaten 1-0 by league leaders Rochedale last week

Beenleigh FC notched up back to back wins with their 3-1 over Souths UTD in the re-scheduled Round 3 fixture at Wakerley Park on Saturday evening. After a cagey first half which saw the teams go into the break level at 0-0, the second half produced 4 goals in an action packed 45 mins.

I am never really sure how to feel after a draw. At 11pm last night the player in me was completely despondent after being 3-1 up and not being able to go on with it. In the light of day though the more philosophical coaching side has emerged and there are lots of positives. We remain unbeaten after two matches which is not bad going for a newly promoted side.

Congratulations to Beenleigh F.C.

After two rounds of the Veto Premier league season Beenleigh F.C remain undefeated. Friday night Beenleigh F.C took on the highly rated Brisbane Wolves at Chris Green Park. The game ended in a 3 all draw. The goal scorers were Michael Ozlar, Ben Harrison, & Juso Julardjza, 

The reserves also remain undefeated in their 2010 campaign with a 4 all draw.

Lions Off to Winning Start

 

For the first time in 14 years Beenleigh FC played host to Brisbane Premier League fixture at Chris Green Park on Saturday evening. After gaining promotion from the first division in 2009, Beenleigh rightfully took its place in the new look 14 team Veto Premier League. Taringa Rovers were the first club to visit and they soon learnt that while Beenleigh may be the new kids on the block, the Lions are not to be underestimated
